  • Innovation and Design Officer (Mental Health)
    Full Time, Contract Position

    We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Innovation and Design Officer specialising in Primary Mental Health to join our exciting Innovation and Design team.

    The Innovation and Design officers ensure that available evidence and intelligence, local population health and national priorities and quality principles are combined to design, co-develop and capacity build services to support an integrated and coordinated Primary Health Care system. This particular role will have a key focus on Primary Mental Health and requires an in-depth understanding of the primary mental health care sector, and an ability to utilise local needs assessment information and available evidence to create innovative design solutions.

    Demonstrated experience working in Primary Health Care and experience using standard project management techniques and knowledge, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of basic scoping methodologies, will be expected of the successful applicant.

    Together with exceptional communication skills, the successful candidate will also have expertise and experience in developing relationships and working collaboratively. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health field (and experience working in mental health) are also essential.

Registered Nurse / Practice Nurse - Ladywood Clinic

Key Responsibilities: Treatment Room duties – patient triage, assisting with minor procedures, wound management, ECG, ABI, spirometry, blood collection, ear syringing, iron infusion, Immunisation programs (child, adult and travel), including off site flu clinics and cold chain management, Chronic Disease Management and education, Care Planning, Health Assessments, general and employment medicals, Administration tasks – assisting with the practice recall and reminder systems and relief of reception staff (including bookings and billings), & Knowledge of AGPAL accreditation standards and process and RACGP guidelines

Essential Criteria: Current Registration with AHPRA, 2 years post graduate experience in a Registered Nurse role, Permanent Residency or Citizenship, Current First Aid and CPR certificate, Current National Criminal History Check including Working with Children/Vulnerable Groups, Childhood Immunisation experience and Certificate, Good computer skills, especially with practice software (preferably Best Practice), & Ability to build rapport with patients and staff from diverse backgrounds
