The Adelaide Primary Health Network (APHN) is an independent, not for profit, primary health care organisation based in Adelaide. We aim to improve the health and wellbeing of the Adelaide community by coordinating and integrating health and community services and by working in partnership to identify local needs and create strategies in response to keep people well and out of hospital.

The APHN is supporting the Australian Digital Health Agency to implement a change that means all Australians will have a My Health Record (MyHR) unless they expressly state they do not want one (‘My Health Record Expansion Program’).

We are looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Coordinator to support the implementation of the Australian Government's My Health Record Expansion Program to Primary Health Networks across the South Australia and Northern Territory region. The My Health Record Regional Social Media Coordinator will be tasked with working with all SA/NT Primary Health Networks (PHNs) to support them in implementing the Australian Government’s My Health Record Expansion Program. You will be responsible for the design, delivery and implementation of a multi-channel social media strategy for the My Health Record expansion on behalf of South Australia and the Northern Territory that integrates and is consistent with other national, state or territory engagement activities.

 You will work closely with both the Australian Digital Health Agency’s (ADHA) Communications team and the APHN communications team to develop and implement an approved PHN Regional social media engagement plan. The plan will demonstrate how the role will engage with the community through a variety of channels and raise awareness of the My Health Record Expansion Program.
 

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing the SA&NT PHN Regional Social Media Strategy;
  • Liaising with local PHNs to identify and address gaps in social media requirements and escalating matters to the Australian Digital Health Agency;
  • Working with local PHNs to identify local champions and good news stories and contribute to the production of ADHA videos to use to promote My Health Record;
  • Working with local PHNs to support community engagement activities and events – thinking about how social and online communication can support and enhance events;
  • Budget management and project reporting.
     

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in similar roles, including tertiary qualifications or specifically demonstrated skills in Marketing, Communications, , Journalism or Public Relations;
  • Experience in similar state or national social media management roles, including demonstrated skills in developing and implementing social media engagement strategies that reach a variety of target audiences;
  • Relevant healthcare sector experience and understanding of the health system;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social media principles and platforms.
  • Excellent proven verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience meeting a range of reporting requirements.

This is a 12 month fixed term employment contract, funded until December 2018.
