HepLINK Forum: Engaging Marginalised Populations in Hepatitis C Treatment

Dr Phillip Read - keynote speaker - is a sexual health physician and the Director of the Kirketon Road Centre in Sydney’s Kings Cross. Kirketon Road is a primary health care facility involved in the prevention, treatment and care of HIV, hepatitis and STIs among people who inject drugs, sex workers and “at-risk” young people.
Rosalie Altus, Community Viral Hepatitis Liaison Nurse, will also be in attendance to provide a South Australian treatment update. The forum will conclude with a panel discussion, facilitated by Dr Read, titled, Where to from here? Overcoming some of the challenges, in relation to future hepatitis C treatment.
The panel will include:
- An Aboriginal health service perspective
- A youth heath service perspective
- A CALD health service perspective
- A regional South Australia perspective
- A Clean Needle Program client perspective
