New Born Behavioural Observation (NBO) Training
Thursday, 20 September 2018 - Friday, 21 September 2018
Venue: Women and Children's Hospital
The NBO System is a relationship-based tool that offers individualised information to parents about how their baby communicates and their unique capacities. The NBO is being used around the world to engage parents in learning about infant development and to strengthen the relationship between infants and parents. A growing evidence base shows the NBO improves parental relationships with vulnerable infants. It is brief, satisfying for everyone and can be delivered by midwives and nurses as part of their routine care of women and their newborn infants.
The training will be run by Associate Professor Campbell Paul and Dr Susan Nicholson two of the trainers for NBO Australia Faculty, Royal Womens Hospital, Melbourne.
Suitable for health care providers working with newborns.
