About this resource

The Australian Haemochromatosis Registry is a national collection of data from people in Australia living with haemochromatosis. Its aim is to enable research into the role of iron in a number of related chronic health conditions, including liver disease, arthritis, diabetes and heart conditions, ultimately leading to improved health outcomes for those with the condition.

The success of the Australian Haemochromatosis Registry will depend on the willingness of individual patients to register themselves. The more people register, the richer the pool of information on haemochromatosis.
