2027 SA ADHD GP Training Program
Expressions of interest are now open for a further 100 South Australian GPs to undertake training to diagnose and treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
The training program, delivered in partnership between the State Government and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), supports eligible GPs to gain the authority required to diagnose ADHD, prescribe medication and provide ongoing care to patients 8 years of age and above, where clinically appropriate.
The program will include:
- online self-paced learning modules to be completed by 4 December 2026
- a two-day, in-person ADHD workshop in Adelaide on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 February 2027
- four online peer group learning sessions delivered between March and October 2027
Participating GPs will receive $1000 to support their training time, with travel assistance available for eligible rural and remote GPs.
Applicants must be registered with Ahpra as a Specialist General Practitioner, be practicing in South Australia, meet the priority and eligibility criteria, and have capacity to complete the program’s mandatory training requirements.
Express your interest by completing the RACGP form by 5pm Sunday 18 October 2026.
