Acute care at home with My Home Hospital
Did you know you can refer patients for hospital-level care at home?
My Home Hospital delivers acute care to patients in the comfort and privacy of their own homes, with up to four visits per day, including in residential aged care facilities and disability supported accommodation.
Doctors, nurses, allied health, blood tests, medication, oxygen up to 4/L, ECGs, a range of x-rays and ultrasounds and other support services such as personal care, if necessary, are all included in My Home Hospital.
The SA Health service provides acute hospital-level care, at no cost to patients, for a range of conditions, including:
- infections requiring IV antibiotics
- exacerbation of respiratory conditions
- COVID requiring Remdesivir
- heart failure
- DVT and PE
- gastrointestinal conditions
- other conditions for which in-home care is considered safe and appropriate.
