Adelaide PHN celebrates Mental Health Month

For the month of October, Adelaide PHN proudly celebrated Mental Health Month, led by the Mental Health Coalition of SA. As one of the sponsors of this vital initiative, we aimed to raise community awareness and spark conversations about mental health and wellbeing.
This year’s theme, "It’s time to talk about mental health," encouraged South Australians to speak openly about their mental health and seek help when needed. At Adelaide PHN, we believe that discussing mental health openly, we can break down stigma and empower individuals to feel more comfortable seeking support.
To highlight our commitment, Adelaide PHN created a series of videos and shared inspiring stories showcasing the incredible work of mental health service providers within our community. We also participated in various events, including the official Mental Health Month Dinner.
As the month wraps up, we want to encourage everyone to keep these conversations going. Remember, talking about how you’re really feeling and seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Adelaide PHN strives to foster a community that feels safe and supported to talk about how they’re really feeling.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our community service providers and Adelaide PHN staff for their dedication and involvement this Mental Health Month, to help break the stigma and build greater awareness.
