Adelaide PHN Celebrates Wear It Purple Day

In a vibrant display of solidarity, Adelaide PHN staff embraced Wear It Purple Day by wearing their brightest and coolest purple outfits, demonstrating their unwavering support for the LGBTQIA+ community. This annual celebration, held on August 30th, serves as a powerful reminder that young people within the rainbow community are celebrated and respected, affirming their right to be proud of who they are and who they are becoming.
The celebration featured a special visit from Flic Birse, a nonbinary person of colour and second-year student at the University of South Australia. Flic spoke about the importance of Wear It Purple Day and the challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals. Their active involvement in promoting LGBTQIA+ inclusion and creating safe spaces highlights their dedication to fostering a more inclusive environment.
Staff also showed their support through donations to the South Australian Rainbow Advocacy Alliance (SARAA), an organisation committed to advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights and fostering a safe, inclusive community in South Australia.
