Reconciliation in the West

Adelaide PHN had the pleasure of hosting a stall at the 2024 Reconciliation in the West event, hosted at Tauondi Aboriginal College on Thursday 30 May.

Held during National Reconciliation Week, the event is a free, whole-of-community gathering, that promotes Reconciliation and contributes to a unified society that values and recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and heritage, as a proud part of a shared identity. Reconciliation in the West enables attendees to share, learn, engage and relfect on Reconciliation.

Adelaide PHN’s Contracts and Capacity Building Coordinator Rebecca Piovesan and Immunisation Coordinator Angela Newbound, provided valuable information to over 1000 attendees on Aboriginal health checks, immunisations, and mental health supports.

The day consisted of free entertainment, cultural workshops, stalls from local service providers and Aboriginal businesses.

The event was nothing short of a success and we would like to thank the team for their hard work and dedication to providing valuable healthcare advice to attendees, to everyone who visited the team and most importantly to the organisers.
