Adelaide PHN working with Allied Health

Through the current Primary Care Reforms, the Australian Government has provided funding to the Adelaide PHN to engage with and support Allied Health working in primary care.
Kirsty Rawlings has been appointed to an Allied Health Lead role with Adelaide PHN, and will drive planning, design and engagement with the Allied Health sector across the Adelaide PHN region. Kirsty is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Educator and Designer with extensive experience working in private practice, government and university settings, and primary care policy, service planning and design, research and evaluation.
This work will include developing an Allied Health Strategy for Adelaide PHN, which will outline key strategies and activities in supporting and engaging allied health within the Adelaide PHN region, including leading the engagement of Allied Health in developing new models of multidisciplinary care. She will support productive relationships with a range of primary care stakeholders including Allied Health, General Practice, Pharmacy and Aged Care, including increasing digital capability for allied health providers within the region.
Part of her role will be to lead data analysis to understand the allied health landscape within the Adelaide PHN region and include Allied Health peak bodies and providers in designing and trialling innovative models of multi-disciplinary team care to enhance chronic condition management for individuals, which includes commissioning General Practice and Allied Health providers to design and implement these solutions.
Please keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities to participate in the design of the Allied Health Strategy, and for opportunities to be involved in co-design and implementation of new initiatives.
