After Hours Resource Development

Group of people talking around office desk

Community consultation is critical for Adelaide PHN to help inform, identify, prioritise and implement tailored solutions.

Yarning Circles and community discussions are being conducted to co-design a resource as part of the After-Hours Awareness Program.

During the 2023 After-Hours Needs Assessment, community members highlighted the need for increased awareness of after-hours service options, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and Refugee and New Arrival communities.

Adelaide PHN is now working closely with these community groups to understand the gaps and co-design resources to enhance community understanding of available after-hours and urgent care services.

This initiative seeks to empower these communities with the knowledge needed to make informed health care decisions during after-hour periods, ultimately improving access to primary health care and reducing pressure on emergency departments.

Members of these community groups that are interested in being involved can reach out to us at any time to be included in these consultations.
