Adelaide PHN’s Aged and Palliative Care Manager Helen Exley and Contracts and Capacity Building Coordinator Lashya Krishnamurthy recently attended the ARIIA: Face the Future Age Conference. Held on July 4 and 5, 2024, at the Adelaide Oval, this event brought together industry leaders, workers, policymakers, advocates, and elders from across the aged care ecosystem to discuss the future of aged care in Australia and beyond.

This year’s conference theme, "Facing the Future: Living well. Ageing well. Dying well." provided a thought-provoking platform to explore the challenges and possibilities of ageing. It emphasised the critical roles of technology, workforce development, and innovation in shaping the future of aged care. The sessions delved into groundbreaking research and industry practices, offering valuable insights that attendees could implement in their own workplaces.

Helen Exley and Lashya Krishnamurthy represented Adelaide PHN with great enthusiasm, engaging with other professionals and thought leaders. The conference was an excellent opportunity for them to build new relationships and connections, enhancing their understanding of future ageing trends in the Adelaide metropolitan region.
