AI Skills for Public Health and Health Promotion Workforce (Survey)

About the Study
Researchers from Deakin University’s School of Health and Social Development are conducting a study titled:
“AI Skills for Public Health and Health Promotion Workforce.”
The project explores how AI is transforming public health practice and aims to better understand:
- How AI tools are currently being used in the workforce
- What skills and ethical knowledge are needed for responsible AI use
- How universities can better prepare graduates for AI-integrated workplaces
The findings will help inform future education, training, and workforce development across the sector.
Who Can Participate?
You are invited to take part if you work in:
- Public health
- Health promotion
- Related professional roles within Australia
What’s Involved?
Participation is simple and flexible:
- ✅ Complete an anonymous survey
- ✅ Option to take part in a follow-up in-depth interview
Survey questions may cover topics such as:
- Your use of AI tools at work
- Your approach to adopting new technologies
- The perceived usefulness of AI in your role

It has received ethics approval from Deakin University (Ref: 2026/HE000205).
