AI Skills for Public Health and Health Promotion Workforce (Survey)

Do you work in the Australian public health or health promotion sector? This is your opportunity to contribute to important research exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) is shaping your profession.

About the Study 

Researchers from Deakin University’s School of Health and Social Development are conducting a study titled: 
“AI Skills for Public Health and Health Promotion Workforce.” 

The project explores how AI is transforming public health practice and aims to better understand: 

  • How AI tools are currently being used in the workforce 
  • What skills and ethical knowledge are needed for responsible AI use 
  • How universities can better prepare graduates for AI-integrated workplaces 

The findings will help inform future education, training, and workforce development across the sector. 

Who Can Participate? 

You are invited to take part if you work in: 

  • Public health 
  • Health promotion 
  • Related professional roles within Australia 

What’s Involved? 

Participation is simple and flexible: 

  • ✅ Complete an anonymous survey 
  • ✅ Option to take part in a follow-up in-depth interview 

Survey questions may cover topics such as: 

  • Your use of AI tools at work 
  • Your approach to adopting new technologies 
  • The perceived usefulness of AI in your role
