Allied Health Leaders Gather in Adelaide for National Conference

More than 800 allied health professionals attended the 16th National Allied Health Conference held in Adelaide from 11-14 August.

Adelaide PHN was honoured to support the event as a Silver Sponsor, and continue the conversation about how we can best support allied health providers and services in our region.

This year's theme was 'Empowering Lives, Shaping Healthcare', with lots of inspiring research shared, as well as the opportunity for important connections to be made.

Adelaide PHN and Flinders University partnership representatives Jolyn Johal and Dr Heather Block were also presenters at the conference.

Jolyn's presentation was on 'Barriers and Enablers to Primary Care in Australian Residential Aged Care Homes: A Scoping Review', while Heather's was titled 'Multidisciplinary care for healthy ageing in primary care in Australia: Current practice, gaps and opportunities'.

The conference provides an opportunity for allied health professionals to showcase their work, engage in networking, critical thought and discussion to encourage innovation in clinical practice, research and service delivery.
