AnglicareSA’s Universal Aftercare Service for Suicide Prevention

AnglicareSA’s Adelaide Universal Aftercare Service(Suicide Prevention Service) is:

  • a 3-month, non-clinical psychosocial assertive-outreach program for individuals across metro Adelaide who have recently attempted to end their life or are experiencing intentional, intrusive suicidal thoughts
  • designed for people of all ages and all walks of life whose suicidality is primarily driven by psychosocial or situational stressors, rather than an enduring or chronic mental health condition
  • also accessible to those who care for someone experiencing suicidal distress.

An individual may not be eligible for the service if they are already supported by a proactive psychosocial outreach service, or if they are experiencing chronic thoughts of suicide driven by an enduring mental health condition and would most benefit from clinical suicide prevention services.

*Please note our program currently has immediate capacity for individuals who have had a suicide attempt within the past 3 months or are struggling with intentional suicidal thoughts.*
