Are you a GP delivering care in Residential Aged Care Homes?
If you're a General Practitioner providing care to residents in Residential Aged Care Homes (RACH), there's an important update regarding incentives.
The Practice Incentive Program - General Practitioner Aged Care Access Incentive (PIP GP ACAI) officially ended on 31 July 2024. The final payment under this program will be issued in August 2024 for the period covering 1 May to 31 July 2024.
To receive the new incentive, you will need to enrol in the New General Practice in Aged Care Incentive (GP ACI). To be eligible, general practices, the General Practioner and the RACH resident must be registered with MyMedicare.
For detailed information on:
- Eligible primary care providers
- Eligible services, including a variety of MBS and DVA items
- Servicing requirements
- And more
Please refer to the Program Guidelines or the Department of Health and Aged Care website.
KEY POINT: Enrolment in GP ACI involves adding bank details to the MyMedicare program in the Organisation Register. Additionally, individual providers must update their bank details in Health Professional Online Services - HPOS.
Adelaide PHN will continue to provide updates on this incentive through our website.
