Are you a GP working in RACH and palliative care?

Join a national Clinical Reference Group.
Dr Zivai Nangati (Palliative Care Specialist) is seeking 2 GPs based in South Australia to join a national Clinical Reference Group.

What’s involved?
•    2 × one hour meetings with pre-reading
•    Compensation (up to $655) available

Participants being sought are GPs working in RACH, and are interested in palliative care.

Commencing February 2026, the Clinical Reference Group will give feedback on GP educational resources developed for use in RACHs by PACOP (Palliative Aged Care Outcomes Program), and that will eventually be rolled out across the country.

PACOP is fully funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing and provides standardised assessment tools and protocols to help identify palliative care needs and improve resident, family & carer outcomes.

PACOP assessments are completed by RACH staff, and can benefit GPs by providing structured, evidence-based data on palliative symptom burden and other measures. They support informed clinical decision-making, monitoring deterioration, and proactive care by identifying unmet needs.
