Building on Strong Foundations with Launch of New Reconciliation Action Plan

RAP Launch banner

Adelaide PHN recently launched our new Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for 2026-2028 at a special event held on 2 March at Yitpi Yartapuultiku.

Staff, stakeholders, Board directors and other invited guests came together to unveil our third RAP, reflecting on our reconciliation journey so far and celebrating the positive steps we have taken since the development of our inaugural Innovate RAP for 2020-2022.

During the past five years we have established our Aboriginal Community Advisory Council, strengthened relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses, community and health organisations, and developed and implemented a Cultural Capability Framework. We have also increased cultural immersion and professional development opportunities, including Kaurna Language courses for staff and Board.

This RAP establishes a structure through which we can foster continued connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It highlights our dedication to elevating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's social and emotional wellbeing through innovative, impactful and respectful research, programs, services and partnerships.

The development of our Innovate RAP occurred in consultation with both internal and external stakeholders, including local Elders, community representatives and key staff from the Aboriginal Health sector, ACCOs, and local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Our RAP is championed internally by our Executive Leadership team and supported by a cross-divisional Reconciliation Working Group that meets every six weeks to steer the deliverables and update progress.
