Changes in antibiotic susceptibility reporting

SA Pathology reports antibiotic susceptibility using the European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST) guidelines which reports combinations of antibiotic and organism as ‘S’, ‘I’, and ‘R’.

Recently, the definition of ‘I’ was changed to provide improved clinical guidance.
