Disruption to dsDNA testing platform - SA Pathology
I regretfully advise that due to another failure in supply of dsDNA kits from the manufacturer and an announcement that these kits are being discontinued, SA Pathology’s dsDNA antibody testing will be again disrupted. We have a limited supply of remaining kits and have determined that “urgent” only testing is performed using these kits.
Requests need to be marked URGENT and will be authorised for on-site testing by the on-call Immunopathologist to enable some on-site testing for the next few weeks. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Non-urgent specimens will be stored and batch-sent to an interstate laboratory until new testing is established at SA Pathology.
SA Pathology are working to provide an alternative on-site testing methodology for this test, delivering a more reliable platform and uninterrupted testing.
For more information, or to discuss any urgent dsDNA antibody testing requests, please contact the
SA Pathology switchboard on 8222 3000 and ask for the on-call Immunopathologist.
