Residents living in the City of Charles Sturt! Join our study! We're excited to introduce you to an approach to AVOID frailty and age well.
What's This Study About?
One in five older people are frail, but frailty doesn't have to be inevitable. Our study focuses on investigating a strategy to help individuals steer clear of frailty and age well.
Introducing the AVOID Frailty – Program for Healthy Ageing intervention:
Central to this effort is the use of web-technology to support the adoption of healthy actions focused on A-activity, V-vaccination, O-optimising medication, I- interaction, D- healthy Diet. To prevent frailty, an intervention to promote health actions is being delivered through a web-platform. Through this platform, participants gain an understanding of their health and access tailored education targeting risk factors for frailty. Additionally, there is a library of resources highlighting local community programs and services aimed at promoting healthy ageing. Participants are encouraged to set goals, take action and monitor their progress.
