Essential Health Summit 2024
The Essential Health Summit 2024 took place from July 25 to 27 at the Adelaide Convention Centre, bringing together leaders and professionals from the primary healthcare sector. Adelaide PHN hosted a stall at his year’s conference to showcase the PHN’s work to enhance primary healthcare through collaboration with providers and stakeholders.
The conference is a joint effort between the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) and the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ASLM), merging the Festival of Nursing and Lifestyle Medicine conference into one cohesive event. Attendees benefited from a range of dynamic presentations, interactive workshops, and inspiring talks.
A notable moment was when Contracts and Capacity Building Coordinator Monique Hoey and Nabil Rashid presented on their work with the Refugee Health in General Practice project in Northern Adelaide. Their presentation highlighted significant improvements in primary healthcare for the refugee community in the region. The summit also allowed Adelaide PHN to engage with other Primary Health Networks and explore innovative uses of data and AI in healthcare.
Overall, the event was a success, offering opportunities to build new connections, strengthen existing ones, and gain insights into advancing primary healthcare. For more details on the Essential Health Summit, click here.
