Extended opening hours for mental health support in Northern Adelaide

Starting Monday the 10th February 2025, the weekday opening hours for Northern Adelaide Head to Health will be extended to 8.30 am - 10.30 pm.

Located at 23 Gillingham Road, Elizabeth, Northern Adelaide Head to Health provides free, walk-in mental health support for individuals aged 16 and over experiencing distress, crisis, or suicidal thoughts.

To increase after-hours access, the centre has expanded its weekday hours. It is now open from 8.30 am to 10.30 pm, Monday to Friday, with presentations accepted until 9:30 pm. The weekend and public holiday hours remain unchanged (12 pm to 6:30 pm).
 

How to access

There is no need to make a referral or book an appointment. Individuals simply walk into the service to access support.

New name coming soon

From 28 February 2025, this service will be renamed, Northern Adelaide Medicare Mental Health Centre. While the name and branding will change, the service will remain free and accessible – no Medicare card, referral, or appointment required.

This service is delivered by Sonder, and funded by the Australian Government, Adelaide PHN, and Northern Adelaide Local Health Network.
