With an ageing population the demand for pharmacists to work with health professionals, families and carers managing life-limiting illness is rapidly growing.
Pharmacies can now better support community access to urgent palliative care medicines by
- Stocking the 4 core palliative medicines from the National Core Community Palliative Care Medicines List
- Consider listing ‘Palliative medicine service’ as part of your service offering through Healthdirect’s National Health Services Directory (NHSD).
The ASPIRE Palliative Care Training Program is an initiative supported by Palliative Care Australia and designed to build your skills and knowledge around palliative care service delivery.
Developed by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, this FREE, self-paced, online program will equip you with the basics to better support patients, families, and carers navigating their palliative care journey.
