ASPIRE Palliative Care Foundation Training for Pharmacists
The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA), with support from the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, is proud to launch the Palliative Care Foundation Training Program – a free, accredited online course designed for Australian registered pharmacists.
This 8-module program equips pharmacists across all practice settings with the essential knowledge, skills, and compassion to provide exceptional palliative care support through safe and quality use of medicines.

Funded Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training
The South Australian Government, through the Office of the Chief Pharmacist, is funding mental health first aid (MHFA) training to upskill community pharmacists and pharmacy staff working in South Australia to improve early identification of mental ill-health and increase mental health support for the community.
The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia has been commissioned by the South Australian Government to deliver MHFA training to at least 1000 community pharmacists and pharmacy staff working across metropolitan and regional South Australia between 2023 and 2026. 24 Group 2 CPD points are available for pharmacists upon completion of the training.

- The project is entering its final stage, so places for 2026 will be limited – now is the time to secure a funded spot.

About the training:
- 6–8 hours self-paced eLearning
- Interactive workshop: either two 2.5-hour online sessions or one 4-hour face-to-face session
