Have Your Say on the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Joint Regional Plan

Have your say on how we can work together to support the mental health and wellbeing of the community in the Adelaide metropolitan region.

What is being decided?

Adelaide PHN and SA Health are working together to develop a Joint Regional Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Plan 2026-2031 (Joint Regional Plan).

The Joint Regional Plan is part of the State and Federal Governments' commitment to build a mental health system that supports the priority mental health and wellbeing needs of the community.

The Plan for the Adelaide region will outline shared priority areas and opportunities to strengthen partnerships between State and Commonwealth funded mental health services. It will help to guide the delivery of joined-up mental health care for people of all ages in the Adelaide region.

Who we we want to hear from?

We would love to hear from people with a variety of perspectives. If you live in the Adelaide region yourself, or care for someone in the region, we would love to hear from you. If you have a lived experience of mental health concerns, suicide or suicidal distress, or if you work for an organisation that provides care for people in the region, we would really value your feedback.

Background

The Towards Wellness Plan outlined how Adelaide PHN and the Local Health Networks worked together to strengthen the integration of mental health and suicide prevention services in the Adelaide region. The Towards Wellness Plan is coming to an end and this consultation aims to build on that Plan by understanding the current and emerging priority areas and factors that would help to improve access to services for people of all ages in the Adelaide region.
