Head to Health centres has been renamed

As part of its commitment to strengthening Medicare and improving access to free mental health services, the Australian Government has made the decision to rename its national network of adult mental health centres.

As a result, Northern Adelaide Head to Health, which is operated by Sonder, has undergone a rebrand and is now known as the Northern Adelaide Medicare Mental Health Centre.

While the name and signage has changed, the centre continues to provide free, walk-in mental health support for individuals aged 16 years and over, without the need for a referral, appointment or Medicare card.

The service is designed to meet the diverse needs of the community. Visitors may come to the centre for someone to talk to or sit with when feeling overwhelmed, advice if they are worried about themselves or someone else, or are looking for information about other helpful services. Guests are welcome to return as often as needed and may be offered follow-up appointments for additional care.

Accessibility remains a cornerstone of the Northern Adelaide Medicare Mental Health Centre. Located at 23 Gillingham Road, Elizabeth, the Northern Adelaide Medicare Mental Health Centre is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 10.30pm, plus weekends and public holidays from 12pm to 6.30pm.

This service is delivered by Sonder and funded by Adelaide PHN, the Australian Government, and Northern Adelaide Local Health Network.
