Improving Sepsis Care in Australia: New Resources for Primary Health Professionals

Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that arises when the body’s response to infection causes damage to its own tissues and organs. It’s a time-critical emergency—and early recognition and treatment can save lives.

To support better outcomes, the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, in partnership with The George Institute for Global Health, Sepsis Australia, and Medcast, has extended the National Sepsis Program with new resources tailored for primary health professionals.
