The Australian Public Health Conference was held in Wollongong on 16 to 18 September, a national conference held by the Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA), which presents a national and multidisciplinary perspective on public health issues.

Adelaide PHN was represented through three presentations of the PHN research projects by Professor Stacey George and Dr Heather Block, related to co-designing social prescribing models, early interventions for frailty, and multidisciplinary team care in primary care.

The work was well received, offering the opportunity to show the great work Adelaide PHN is involved with to deliver better care to the Adelaide region.

The theme of this year's conference was 'Leadership and collaboration to connect a divided world', bringing together public health professionals to contribute to discussions on the broad range of issues and exchange ideas, knowledge and information on the latest developments in public health.

The event highlighted the importance of listening to diverse voices and advocating for leadership that unites.

It showcased the latest research, program implementations and workforce developments, plus new progress in advocacy in public health.
