Is your practices Health Provider Registry Entry up to Date?

The Health Provider Registry (HPRy) is a secure listing of health services, practices, providers and specialists. It is the authoritative source of contact information for SA Health systems and is critical to the transfer of patient information between hospitals, practices and specialists.

To ensure accurate and timely delivery of hospital communication the doctors practicing at your practice must be accurately entered on to the registry.  Doctors who are no longer practicing at your practice must also be removed from the registry or you may continue to receive information meant for them.  The registry can ONLY be updated by individual practices.

All health practices listed on the HPRy have the ability and responsibility to edit their practice details online for the purpose of keeping information current including practitioner details.

To request an online user account, contact the HPRy team:

Other uses of the HPRy include:

  • Transfer of clinical patient information such as discharge and separation summaries
  • Communication of public health alerts such as food poisoning or epidemics
  • Facilitation of referrals between general practices, specialists and allied health professionals
  • Information about available health services and changes to services.
