Just announced: Primary Care Breakfast Session - 9 September 2026

Primary Care Collaborative Cancer Clinical Trials Group (PC4), South Australian Comprehensive Cancer Network (SACCaN) and Cancer Council South Australia are excited to be hosting a Primary Care Breakfast Session titled: The critical role of primary care in cancer control: A joint update from PC4 and Cancer Council South Australia. 

The session will be held from 7:30am – 8:30am (ACST), Wednesday 9 September 2026 at Crowne Plaza Adelaide, 27 Frome Street SA. 

Recognising the critical role of primary care across the cancer continuum – prevention, screening, early detection and living with and beyond cancer, this joint session will cover 4 key topics: 

• Optimising bowel cancer screening recommendations in general practice
• Understanding the eligibility criteria and referral pathways for the newly launched National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP)
• Engaging with cancer clinical trials through PC4 
• Understanding how the Australian Cancer Plan positions primary care within the national cancer agenda

Attendance at this session will qualify for one hour of CPD (Educational Activity) from RACGP and/or ACRRM. 

This session is held as part of the PC4 2026 Scientific Symposium. Breakfast to be provided; $100 gift voucher for each attendee.
