Low Wait Times and Increased Capacity at headspace Marion and Onkaparinga
headspace centres at Marion and Onkaparinga currently have low wait times and increased capacity to accept referrals for young people aged 12-25 who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges.
Both centres, which are operated by Sonder, are staffed by experienced teams, including youth-friendly mental health clinicians, peer practitioners, employment specialists, GPs, and AOD counsellors who work collaboratively with young people to support their wellbeing.
Individuals who are supporting a young person who may benefit from mental health support are encouraged to complete a Mental Health Treatment Plan and Referral Letter, and fax it to:
- headspace Marion: (08) 8490 7799, or
- headspace Onkaparinga: (08) 8186 8699
Alternatively, referrals can be made to the Medicare Mental Health Phone Service via fax to (08) 8121 1802, or email MedicareMHps.ADL@neaminational.org.au
To support timely processing, ensure all required information is included in the referral. A full list of required information is available on the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing website.
