New digital patient support for people with Chronic Rhinosinusitis (CRS)
Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia (A&AA) is excited to announce new patient resources to help support those living with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS).
Patients tell us that accurate, easy to understand information received directly to their inbox is what would be helpful for them.
Patients who join the CRS email education series receive 4 emails over 2 weeks. The first email will help people to understand what their sinuses are and how they work, what CRS is and how to manage it, plus answer frequently asked questions. The following emails include information on the difference between CRS and allergic rhinitis (hay fever), practical ways to manage CRS, access to our CRS webinar, and how to reduce exposure to allergens. The information is evidence-based and provides practical advice.
Patients can also access Allergy Educators (trained health professionals) on the FREE National Allergy Helpline 1300 728 000 to answer any questions. Patients are encouraged to keep in touch with their GP, Nurse Practitioner and Pharmacist as needed.
Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia is encouraging health professionals who work in primary care to learn more about the campaign at Chronic rhinosinusitis: patient resources, including how they can share it with patients.
Quick and easy ways to share the campaign include:
- Provide patients a link to join the email education series
- Print a poster to display in your waiting area, or use as a flyer to hand out (patients can join via the QR code on the poster)
- Share a social media post
- Use our pre-written copy and image in your next patient newsletter.
