New free online training for primary care on managing common legal issues in aged care at end of life

End of Life Law for Clinicians (ELLC) has launched new training for health professionals about end of life law in aged care:

• A new FREE online aged care course is for health professionals working mainly in residential aged care, home and community care, and aged care managers and providers. It focuses on end of life law in aged care, and health professionals’ legal roles and obligations in each State and Territory. To access the new course, visit ellc.edu.au and select ‘Aged Care’.
• A new module for health professionals in all health settings - Module 14 End of Life Law in Aged Care. It focuses on complex common legal issues in aged care at end of life. To access the new module, visit ellc.edu.au and do the following:
  • If you already have an ELLC account, log in using your existing account and open Module 14.
  • If you are new to ELLC and work mainly in primary care, select your work setting and the course for your discipline.  
  • If you are new to ELLC and work mainly in aged care, select ‘Aged Care’ and enrol in the aged care course. 

CPD hours may be claimed. Certificates of completion are available.
