Website banner 47

Adelaide Primary Health Network is seeking Registrations of Interest from invited General Practices to establish one new Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (“Eastern Medicare UCC”) servicing residents in and around the Norwood, Payneham & St Peters Statistical Area Level 3 (SA3). It is expected that the Eastern Medicare UCC will be open and fully operational by the end of 2025.

ROIs now open

The Australian Government has committed to establish a further 50 Medicare Urgent Care Clinics (Medicare UCCs) over 3 years (2025-26 to 2027-28), throughout Australia, bringing the total number of Medicare UCCs to 137. The Medicare UCC Program aims to ease the pressure on hospitals and give Australian families more options to see a healthcare professional when they have an urgent, but not life threatening, need for care. Medicare UCCs are expected to be open for 14 hours a day, 7 days a week (including public holidays), and are free for people of all ages.

With funding from the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, Adelaide PHN will establish a new Medicare UCC in Norwood, Payneham & St Peters SA3, or approved surrounding suburbs with demonstrated need as per the locations of the additional 50 Medicare Urgent Care Clinics List
