Nurse Practitioner - Team Based Care Pilot
The Australian Government has committed $100 million nationally to pilot new ways to enhance primary care. As part of this work, Adelaide PHN is partnering with the SA Health to deliver a Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Pilot until June 2025. The pilot aims to enhance the availability and accessibility of comprehensive primary care to the metropolitan Adelaide community in areas of high need. The pilot will fund Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to work in collaboration with other health practitioners in primary care, to diagnose, treat, prescribe, and refer patients within their approved scope of practice.
Nurse Practitioners and targeted metropolitan primary care practices will be invited to lodge an Expression of Interest with the Adelaide PHN. Nurse Practitioners can lodge an Expression of Interest here for locations within the Adelaide Metropolitan regions. Targeted Primary Care Practices will be contacted directly by Adelaide PHN with an invite to lodge an Expression of Interest. This EOI clearly states the aims of the program to provide access to health care for vulnerable populations and communities in areas of need where a nurse practitioner is available.
Applications will be highly competitive for the nurse practitioners and practices are encouraged to ensure they meet all criteria before applying.
Expression of Interest Applications close at 16:00pm ACDT Thursday 21 March 2024.
