OTAUS2025 conference from 25 – 27 June 2025 in Adelaide

Adelaide PHN is excited to have a presence at the upcoming OTAUS2025 conference from 25 – 27 June 2025 in Adelaide. 

The occupational therapy profession is pivotal to primary care services in enhancing the well-being and quality of life for individuals across diverse populations. OTAUS2025 aims to inspire, empower, and unite professionals under the theme "Collaborate and Connect." This theme underscores the importance of fostering collaboration and building meaningful connections within the occupational therapy community, as well as with other healthcare disciplines and stakeholders. 

Dr Heather Block, an Occupational Therapist and Research Fellow for Caring Futures Institute, Flinders University and Adelaide PHN, will be presenting on the following research:  

  • Occupational therapy in primary care in Australia: Current practice and future opportunities 
  • Quality of life for ageing adults with chronic conditions in primary care 
  • Co-designing a model for social prescribing for older people. 

Keep an eye out for other Caring Futures Institute research available in the poster sessions, including from Professor Stacey George, Primary Care and System Integration: 

  • Outcomes of home modifications for community dwelling middle-older aged adults 
  • Experiences and effectiveness of occupational therapy interventions delivered in the acute setting.
