Partnerships for culturally safe cancer care grant program
Cancer Australia has opened a new round of funding as part of the 2025 Partnerships for culturally safe cancer care grant program.
An Australian Government initiative, the grant program aims to improve the delivery of culturally safe cancer care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia.
The 2025 round will award grants of up to $700,000 over two years (2025-26 to 2026-27) to support mainstream cancer services working collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled organisations. Partnerships will deliver innovative, community-driven activities to embed culturally safe, accessible, and responsive cancer care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people into mainstream health services.
The program acknowledges that health services must work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to deliver priorities for cultural safety needs identified by local communities.
The program aligns with priority actions in the Australian Cancer Plan and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cancer Plan to improve culturally safe cancer care and equity through partnerships and co-design between mainstream organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led organisations.
Applications are open until 3rd February 2026. For grant guidelines, further information, and to apply for the grant, visit GrantConnect (GO8081).
