SA Health campaign to assist with hospital demand

A new SA Health public awareness campaign advises the community to call healthdirect to find the best care for their circumstances to support demand on the hospital system. 

When someone is unsure what to do when they have a non-life-threatening illness or injury, they can call healthdirect to speak to a registered nurse who will help them find the best care, such as a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, 24/7 pharmacy, virtual care service, or Priority Care Centre. 

healthdirect may also assist the patient to find a GP in their area or offer a phone or video call back from a healthdirect virtual GP for an assessment.
