SALHN Outpatient clinic information fax or email referrals - Updated Outpatient Clinic webpage

What is changing?

Following feedback from General Practice to improve the navigation of outpatient service information and referrals:

  • The SALHN Outpatient clinic PDF listing is being retired, and clinic information will now be provided through www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/SALHNOutpatientsContacts
  • Outpatient referrals to SALHN can be made via a range of methods, including fax, post and email (where available).

What do referrers need to do?

Please use https://sahealth.sa.gov.au/SALHNOutpatientsContacts to

  • Search the page for a clinic’s phone number, fax number or generic email address (where available)
  • Access each clinic webpage for more information
  • Access the main SALHN Outpatient page, where you can find information relating to Outpatient services, including links to Clinical Prioritisation Criteria and relevant SALHN Guidelines: sahealth.sa.gov.au/SALHNOutpatients
  • Sort content using the column headers, e.g. sorting by “Last updated”
  • Please note that referrals can only be submitted via email to clinics with a shared mailbox address available for this purpose. Sensitive or confidential information should be emailed with patient consent and the sending organisation is responsible for ensuring the security of the information before it is transmitted. If you are unsure, please fax the referral.

To provide feedback on this new page, please contact the SALHN GP Integration Unit by email to health.SalhnGPIntegrationUnit@sa.gov.au
