Start the Chat Campaign Showcased at National Suicide Prevention Conference
Adelaide PHN's Start the Chat campaign was highlighted at the National Suicide Prevention Conference in Sydney from 28-30 April.
Andrew Ceniuch, Regional Suicide Prevention Lead, presented at the conference alongside Black Dog Institute Senior Grants Engagement Manager Esther Sole and Jenn Jury, a lived experience storyteller on the campaign.
The Start the Chat campaign shares real stories and promotes free online suicide prevention training that equips people with the skills and confidence to have safe, supportive conversations about suicide.
The presentation explored the campaign's development, implementation, and early outcomes, highlighting the power of inclusive, community-driven approaches and media partnerships in shaping united suicide prevention.
This year's National Suicide Prevention Conference's theme was 'United Voices, Brighter Futures', inspiring authentic collaboration, courageous conversations and lasting change across the suicide prevention sector.
Consistent with the theme, the conference provided a valuable opportunity to share knowledge with interstate delegates, with strong representation from South Australia also in attendance.
