Survey for practitioners who manage BV - Melbourne Sexual Health Centre

The paradigm of Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is changing, with our understanding of transmission, treatment and cure rapidly evolving due to recent research. A randomised controlled trial by researchers at Monash University and Melbourne Sexual Health Centre, published recently in the New England Journal of Medicine, has proven that treating an exclusive regular sexual partner (with a penis) at the same time as providing routine BV treatment, can significantly increase cure rates and reduce recurrence of BV.
Melbourne Sexual Health Clinic would like to invite any practitioners who manage BV to participate in a survey to understand clinician attitudes towards this management approach. This ethics-approved survey aims to understand the potential barriers and enabling factors when implementing this new treatment strategy from a clinician's perspective, which will assist in the development of recommendations.
The clinician survey has ethics approval and is appropriate for GPs and other clinicians with a sexual and reproductive health interest.
The survey is anonymous and short, and participants benefit from direct access to links from the MSHC website to guidelines and resources which support these changing recommendations.
