Tips for Managing the General Practice in Aged Care Incentive (GPACI)

The relationship between the practice, patient, and Responsible Provider is key to GPACI eligibility. Disrupting any of these links can affect payments.

If a Responsible Provider changes, ensure the previous relationship remains in the patient’s MyMedicare profile—deleting it can impact past payments.

Note: The Responsible Provider may differ from the patient’s Preferred GP (e.g. a registrar may provide care in a RACH).
