2024 SASMA Sports Medicine in General Practice Course

Musculoskeletal medicine is the third most common presentation in General Practice.  This course is targeted at improving GP’s examination, diagnostic and management skills in the area of musculoskeletal and sports medicine. This is a unique course over 3.5 days, attracting excellent feedback from past attendees exposed to experts working in sports medicine locally, nationally and internationally.

This practical course has been coordinated by SASMA member and Adelaide Football Club Senior Medical Officer, Dr Marc Cesana.  There will be opportunity to learn from nationally recognised experts across the Sports Medicine disciplines and to network with leading MSK Physicians and Surgeons across Adelaide who are invested in supporting attendees and growing the professional sports medicine community.

It will provide GP’s with an excellent introduction to Sports Medicine focusing on muscular skeletal examination, diagnostic and management techniques for both common and complex sports injuries. The course is focused around the use of Case Studies.
