We invite you to hear about and discuss the current management of chronic pain in children and adolescents in Australia.

The symposium will present the current understanding of care in Australia using three short presentations after which we invite questions to the panel:

  • Adolescent chronic pain management across Australia, presented by Assoc Prof Susie Lord (Pain Specialist Physician and lead researcher Equity and Wellbeing, Hunter Medical Research Institute)
  • Adolescent chronic pain management in South Australia, presented by Prof Anne Burke (Lead, Statewide Chronic Pain Clinical Network, Commission for Innovation and Excellence in Health, Co-Director – Psychology CAHLN )
  • Codesign a model of care for adolescent chronic pain management in South Australia, presented by Dr Carolyn Berryman (Lead, Adolescent Health Research UniSA, Senior Physiotherapist WCH Paediatric Chronic Pain Service)
