Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia

The team from Adelaide Institute for Sleep Health (AISH) at Flinders University has recently been recognised by the GP Mental Health Standards Collaboration (GPMHSC) as an accredited training provider for Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS) related to insomnia disorder. AISH is launching a new training course for GPs in managing insomnia.

FPS are specific mental healthcare management strategies based on evidence-based psychological therapies. This course content includes measuring and understanding sleep, assessment and treatment of insomnia using cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia, and case discussions.

Program includes:

  • All resources for practitioners, and for use with patients, to support immediate implementation
  • Pre-workshop resources and training workbook
  • Online or in-person delivery options
  • Co-delivery of materials from experienced GPs, sleep physicians and psychologists with specialty in sleep medicine
  • The opportunity to connect with clinical case conferencing and the specialised AISH Sleep Health Clinic
