How-to guide on muscle health checks

older lady smiling while talking to another woman

In older people, reduced muscle health is a major predictor of poorer health outcomes. Join Dr Chris Bollen for this important talk where he will discuss the significant value in identifying those people who are at risk of reduced muscle health and intervening early - to prevent or at least reduce further decline.

Maintaining muscle health in older age is an area of growing interest in medicine, and very much the remit of general practice. Being aware of the latest research and recommendations when it comes to screening, diagnosis and management of this condition is of major importance.

Dr Bollen will be joined by an expert faculty, covering a range of topics relevant to primary care:

  • MHT for women with history or risk of cancer, Prof Rodney Baber AM
  • GLP-1s for OSA, Prof Brendon Yee
  • Oral corticosteroid stewardship for asthma - Why it is important, Dr Andrew Scroop
