HOW2 LGBTIQ Inclusion Training

Does your organisation have values, goals or targets about increasing inclusivity and celebrating diversity?

The HOW2 LGBTIQ Inclusion Training can provide your organisation with a practical way to work towards your goals of increasing inclusivity and celebrating diversity.
It is more than a tick box activity, this program will support your organisation to undertake a culture change and develop services and programs that are genuinely inclusive.

The program involves four sessions held 6-8 weeks apart combined with workplace activities that provide participants with increased knowledge and capacity in auditing your service, consulting consumers, educating colleagues developing and implementing an action plan, managing obstacles and evaluating changes.
During this training participants will:

• be supported by their experienced facilitators to create a plan to embed LGBTIQ inclusive strategies across their organisation

• gain an understanding of the relevant frameworks that will help participants develop strategies to improve outcomes for LGBTIQ staff and stakeholders in their organisation

• learn more about the evidence base for LGBTIQ inclusive practice within services and organisations, and the positive impact this on the health and wellbeing of LGBTIQ people.

Please note a minimum of 2 participants from each organisation are required to attend. This program provides the tools to implement change, therefore participants should hold leadership roles or be in charge of areas like quality, accreditation, human resources,
service design, evaluation, diversity and engagement.
