Implementation and conclusions: Applying the skills of focused psychological strategies for children (5-12 years)

A key challenge in delivering focused psychological strategies is creating a context that draws on both the skills and know-how of children as well as the practice wisdom of the practitioner.

This webinar, the fourth and final in the RACGP Specific Interests and Emerging Minds series, will focus on some of the skills that can support GPs with this practice challenge. Further, it will cover how GPs can support families to notice progress even in the face of difficulties that can arise for children and families when they are implementing new skills. The webinar will conclude with considerations for ending overall work with children and families in ways that are collaborative, acknowledging and accountable.
